No Coincidence No Story
A Book of Coincidence Stories
[ Objective ]
Listen to the radio program This American Life hosted by Ira Glass, and pick an interesting story. Design a book with an open format around the story of our choice to showcase the expressive typographic skills. We also need to design a hypothetical website with the same content as the book at the end of class to give access to read the story on a digital platform.
[ Solution ]
The story I picked was called No Coincidence, No Story in episode 489, where they talk about different small coincidental stories submitted by their listeners. I was amazed by the magical moments of each coincidental story so I decided to make the book in a playful style by creating icon-like characters with exaggerated facial expressions to express the shocking reactions.
