Pavillion

Architecture Poster Serie

[ Objective ]

Choose an architecture topic and design posters for a hypothetical architectural event. The chosen concept for all three posters has to be expressed in three-dimensional letterforms that are hand-crafted using different materials that fit the chosen topic. The challenge of this project is to be able to work with a variety of materials and take a 2D letter into 3D form.

[ Solution ]

I chose to design the three posters that explore the structure of pavilions. I think pavilions give architects the maximum freedom of creativity since they are a much smaller scale compared to regular buildings. The chosen three structures of pavilions are cubic, linear and round. To celebrate those three structures,  I used wood, straw and wire mesh to construct the letterforms.
